Set up the league and its teams
- On “Categories”, add a team league by name. It starts with one rubber for each of your skill levels.
- For corporate games, choose who plays. Intra-company: several teams of one company play each other. Inter-company: one team per company, and each team names its company.
- Check the tie template: the rubbers of every tie, in order, each a type such as men’s doubles and a level. Set the trumps: how many each team has, and what a won or lost trump is worth.
- Add each team after the auction: its name, its players from your directory with the level each plays at, and its captain. A claim warning is a warning, not a block.
Make the leagues
- Draw the teams into leagues at random, or put each team in a league yourself. Every team plays every other team in its league once.
- Making the leagues creates every tie and fixes the teams and the template. Rosters can still change.
Line-ups and trumps
- Open a tie and give each team’s line-up: the players for each rubber, at that rubber’s level. A player plays one rubber of each type unless the template allows more.
- A team may name one rubber of a league tie as its trump before the tie starts. Trumps are not played in the crossover.
- The organiser, director or court desk records line-ups. Once any rubber starts they are locked; only the organiser or director can correct them, with a reason that goes into the audit log.
Results, tables and the crossover
- Each rubber is an ordinary match on the court board and the scorer, named like “Team A v Team B · Rubber 2 · Men B”.
- A rubber won is one tie point, a won trump more. The tie goes to the team with more tie points, then more rubbers, game difference, point difference, then the winner of the last rubber.
- Tables order teams by ties won, tie points, rubber difference, game difference and point difference. Teams still level draw lots at the venue; record the order on the league page.
- When every league tie is finished, draw the crossover: the top teams of each league in a knockout, first against fourth and second against third.
